As a follow up to the previous story on Ground Zeroes network services being terminated in May of this year Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (includes MGO) will also be seeing the same treatment but according to a Konami news post back in August of last year, this will affect only the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 platforms. No word on if and when this will effect last gen platforms.
Again this will effect the following target services:
・METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN
・METAL GEAR ONLINE
This will stop all purchases being made in game of any kind including MGO related items (DLC) no longer available for purchase. While the online service will end the main game will still playable offline. Also at that time any no refunds will be made for in-game items.
To repeat this will affect only the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 platforms. No word on if and when this will effect last gen platforms.
