In the recent HideoBlog web radio show hosted by Konami (via: Game Jouhou), Hideo Kojima talked about Zone of the Enders HD Collection and the reason why we might have to wait a little longer to see a Zone of the Enders sequel.
News comes out of Konami that Zone of the Enders HD Collection is now available for download on Xbox LIVE Games on Demand and PSN for $34.99.
The Zone of the Enders HD Collection also includes a brand new opening animation, as well as fully up-resed renders of the opening animations from the original games. At that price it’s a nice addition to any Kojima fan’s collection.
With the release of the Zone of the Enders HD Edition in Japan, A statue of Jehuty left the streets of Tokyo and invaded the rooftops of the Akihabara district where the public could see Jehuty. Jiro Oishi of Kojima Productions has posted a video with remixed music from Beyond The Bounds , the main theme of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner!
The Zone of the Enders HD Collection marks the return of two fan favorite PS2 games from Hideo Kojima, Zone of the Enders and its sequel Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. Arriving on Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 in a fully remastered, high definition format, the games feature the engrossing storytelling of Hideo Kojima paired with thrilling robot fights in a futuristic interplanetary setting. Players control fast and powerful mechs (robots) known as Orbital Frames to blast their enemies into oblivion.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today unveiled the launch date for ZONE OF THE ENDERS HD COLLECTION, coming October 30 to the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. KONAMI will also include a demo of one of the most anticipated action titles, METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE
Kojima and team were hard at work with preparations for the Tokyo Game Show. It looks as if not only will Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance have a huge showing at Konami’s booth but Gree have also a playable version of Metal Gear Solid: Social Ops available for attendees as well as Z.O.E. HD Collection and of course Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. There is a listening station for the recently released Metal Gear 25th Anniversary Metal Gear Music Collection on hand as well as many of the Play Arts Figures featuring White and Black Raiden. Konami have setup the usual photo booth for attendees to take pictures with their preferred back drop.
