This past weekend a couple of Journalist from Famitsu (pictured below) were doing a live stream of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater on Nico Nico.
During the stream, both journalist who had completed the game during the recent Japanese boot camp briefly shared their thoughts on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (via Junker HQ). One said he was impressed with how they were able to preserve the detail of an MGS in an open world. “You genuinely want to explore everywhere.” The other said “Have faith in Kojima.” JunkerHQ went on to say “Summary of their impressions is they were very impressed, You could tell they were containing themselves. They wanted to say much more”.
No details of course but obviously very encouraging news and seems to echo what we have heard this far from journalists who have had the privilege of playing The Phantom Pain. One thing JunkerHQ also noted which I also echoed on Twitter was though they had played the game and were obviously excited about what they played, they didn’t spoil/leak anything and kept it together, something I hope western journalist can manage in the weeks approaching MGSV’s release.
